Magnolia River Continues Expansion with Purchase of New Office Building
on Thursday, 24 July 2014.
Decatur, AL – In a special meeting last night, the Decatur City school board voted to sell the old post office building owned by the district to Magnolia River.
"This is the first giant leap forward to reaching our ultimate goal of bringing our North Alabama offices together," said Kim Hoff, President and CEO of Magnolia River. "Over half of Magnolia River's 135 employees commute to the Hartselle and Huntsville offices from all over North Alabama and Southern Tennessee every day. Since the 2012 acquisition of Huntsville-based Aeroquest Optimal, we have been working diligently to merge the Huntsville office with the Hartselle Corporate Headquarters."
"Since we offer professional GIS services, specialized location analysis was conducted before we made a decision on a new location. We brought in employee addresses and determined that Decatur, Alabama was the most centralized location for our commuting employees," said Hayden Strickland, Vice President of GIS and Software.
"To say that I am excited about the project is an understatement," said Hoff. "Renovations on the building will begin this fall. You can expect to see Magnolia River in downtown Decatur by early 2015!"
