Tell us a little bit about yourself and/or your family.
I live with my husband Chris and our six-year-old daughter Lilly in Owens Crossroads, Alabama. Growing up, my dad was in the Air Force, so we moved around quite a bit. I have three sisters that I am close to; one in Madison, AL; one in Marietta, GA; and one that just moved to Las Vegas, NV. My parents live in Scottsboro, Alabama, so I get to see them pretty often, which is nice.
Tell us about your job at Magnolia River.
I am the executive assistant to Ronnie Hoff and Heath McCleskey here at Magnolia River. I do a little bit of everything in the administrative realm for them. I love having a variety of tasks to do so that it never gets boring. The most fun for me is getting to help with planning company events like the Christmas party we just had in Decatur.
What do you enjoy most about working for Magnolia River?
I have only been here since September, but I am so impressed with the quality of people that work for Magnolia River. Everyone has been so nice and welcoming and helpful to me since my very first day. I also love that the leadership of the company is working hard to maintain the culture and family feel that has always been the Magnolia River way, even with the rapid growth that we’ve seen in the last few years.
What kinds of things do you like to do for fun?
I read quite a bit and enjoy good TV. I also like taking my daughter to do things one on one, like go to dinner, go shopping at the mall, and ride bikes to the park.
What do you like to do in your free time?
When I have time outside of work and taking care of my daughter’s activities, I enjoy sewing and crafting. I have a big bookcase with glass doors filled with colorful fabrics that serve as inspiration for new sewing projects. If I see a fabric I love, I have to have it – even if I don’t know what it will be for yet!
If you would have one super power what would it be?
I would love the ability to time travel. Just to be able to witness different time periods first hand and talk to the people living then.
