Tell us a little bit about yourself and/or your family
I live in a little town called Jemison, Alabama about forty-five miles south of Birmingham. I am married to Kristi Northcutt, my wife of nineteen years. I have a seventeen year old daughter, Hannah and a twenty-seven year old son, Hunter. Hunter currently works for Spire Alabama, in the Selma division. Hannah plans to attend UAB, with hopes of majoring in veterinary medicine. I have two wonderful granddaughters, six year old Heidi and four year old Ella. Hannah has always asked me to help her study for a test, not sure why, just to get that assurance your will do fine on the test, which she normally does. Hunter comes by every morning to have coffee before going to work, which is very special, seeing that this was a daily practice that I had with my dad. I make sure whether I’m working or on vacation, I’m up and have coffee ready. I graduated from Jemison High School, attended Wallace State Community in Selma, Al, and received an Associate Degree, in Computer Aided Drafting and Design.
Tell us about your job at Magnolia River.
I have been at Magnolia River going on eight years now; every year brings new challenges in our group. This past year we were able to start working with Spire Gulf Coast, bringing in new inspectors and working to build a very positive relationship with this group. We hope to continue to build on our relationships with our client to assure that Magnolia River will always be represented in a very professional manner.
What do you enjoy most about working for Magnolia River?
The people I work with. I am surrounded by a great group of inspectors in the Alabama division. I enjoy working with our client, Spire Alabama, making sure that Magnolia River provides the very best for their needs.
What kinds of things do you like to do for fun?
I enjoy spending time with my family, whether it is hunting, fishing, boating or just working around our home.
What’s one thing that people might be surprised to find out about you?
We started a new project this year of cutting out and painting large Christmas decorations for our yard, which was lots of fun for the family. I always look forward to Christmas time. We sometimes get into a little competition with my son who lives next door. Also on a funny note, it is always fun to be talking with someone and take my hat off just to watch their eyes move to the top of my head when they see that I have no hair.
