Tell us a little bit about yourself and/or your family

I was born and raised in a small community called Greenhill, Alabama. I grew up basically on a farm, so we had cows, horses, dogs, and goats. That is where I learned my love for animals. I love going back home and going out with my dad and watching the goats especially when they have little babies. My family is really close (I lived right across the street from my paternal grandparents and spent a lot of time with my maternal grandparents and cousins). I also have three four-legged fur babies who constantly keep me on my toes. Izzy is the biggest momma’s girl and she is also the wild one so I never know what to expect with her. Skittles is super sweet and loving but is like a little old lady who wants to be left alone half the time. Lila is a super hyperactive Siberian Husky who is also very sweet (she played with a butterfly the other day) and will do anything just for a belly rub and praise.

What kinds of things do you like to do for fun?

There are several things that I like to do for fun but the main things are hanging out with my boyfriend Chris, playing and training my dogs, binge watching Netflix, eating tons of food, and working out. I love to hike and it’s something that my dad and I enjoy doing together. Almost every weekend my mom and I go out to crafting fairs or we are buying old pieces of furniture and redoing them. I also enjoy going to my church; I love meeting new people and to see how they can worship God in different ways.

What’s one thing that people might be surprised to find out about you?

I am usually an open book and it rare when I surprise someone, but I would say the one thing that would surprise people is that I play the banjo.

What was your best vacation?

The best vacation that I have ever taken was to the southwest United States. I grew up in Alabama so the only mountains I ever saw were the Smokies. It was amazing to see the Rocky Mountains; they were beautiful. It was truly humbling to see the amazing power of God and to see what scenery he has made for us to see.
